Ferrari 400 automatique

In line with the "family" models 250 GTE, 365 GT 2+2, then 365 GTC/4 and 365 GT4 2+2, of the brand with the prancing horse, the 400i was marketed in 1980. It is an evolution of the 400 which appeared in 1976 to succeed the 365 GT4 2+2. The "i" signifies the model's transition to injection, in this case Bosch K-Jetronic mechanics very popular at the time. Equipped with a 4.8L engine developing 310 horsepower, the 400i is capable of carrying four passengers at high speed, in the greatest comfort thanks to a spacious and luxuriously finished interior. A total of 1,306 examples (including 855 with automatic transmission) of the 400i were produced before the 412, the final evolution of the 400, took over in 1985.
